omg..

the day is full of events for the prospective students of uoft. this year is a mess cause they invited tons of people from all research groups; usually only one or two groups does this. so, let me see.. shiny faculty talks in the morning, informal meetings with the students later, some group meetings, reception ceremony, dinner at some classy chinese place. right on. "we're the best", "come to us", "join the winners", "life is so great here", blah blah blah. the informal meetings were pretty real tho:

-are there athletic facilities here?
-sure there is this and that and you can do all sorts of things, join activity groups, ..

-is the cost of living high? how much would i be paying for rent?
-usually two or three students find a place together not too far from the campus and this is about that much amount of money, but then you can also do this and..

-how many years have you been here?
-two, no three, no wait a minute, i am not sure. i came in.. and now it's.. omg.. am i turning into slackenerny?
